Wilco, an alternative rock band from Chicago, Illinois, has released a total of thirteen studio albums and four live albums.
The first album was released in 1994 and titled A.M. (Listen A.M. album on Spotify) The album’s cover is a mouthful to say but it is also one of the most famous album covers ever made. This album cover will always be remembered with nostalgia because it reminds people of being young again.
Album covers are typically part of the release process for music albums as they often have great influence on the buying decision before anything else about the artist or music is known.
I’m going to tell you why I think that Wilco (Follow Wilco on Instagram) is the best band of all time.
The first album cover that I want to talk about is their most famous album, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. The cover is a picture of a man standing in front of a building with the word “Yankee” in the center. The man has his hands on his hips and he’s wearing a suit and tie. There are two windows on either side of him, one with an American flag hanging from it and one with “Yankee” written across it. Behind him you can see a whole bunch of buildings that look like they’re part of an office complex or something like that, but there’s also some trees in the background so it doesn’t look too bleak.
