I will be talking about the greatest Manchester United players of all time, with a few explanations and background information. (Follow Manchester United on Twitter).

Manchester United is one of the most successful English football clubs in the history of the game. The club was founded back in 1878 and they are currently ranked as 3rd in English football. (See ”The Best Football Teams in the World” on Rankito).

There have been an array of players to have played for Manchester United, some more successful than others. There are many talented players who lead the team to success and this list includes them and other major contributors to their success through different decades. I will be looking at which players were on top for each decade, outlining their major achievements for that particular period, and giving my thoughts on why they were so successful at that particular time.
