As the world of television continuously evolves, we can expect that the most anticipated TV series of 2022 will not be anything like what is on TV today.
The production in the video streaming era has changed dramatically. The future of mass entertainment looks more like Netflix (see the category of Netflix) and Amazon than HBO (see the search results for HBO) and AMC.
Due to the shift in production, programming budgets are falling while subscription numbers are rising. This results in more money being invested into creating special effects and great scripts that have a story to tell.
The year 2022 will be an important year for the television industry. Given the popularity of streaming services like Netflix, TV channels are now trying to find ways to retain their viewers. One way they can do this is by launching new and interesting series. The Gilded Age (See ”The Gilded Age” on IMDB) has been all over the news with its premiere date announced in May 2019. Another anticipated series is The Lord of the Rings (See ”The Lord of the Rings” on IMDB), which is being made into a TV show by Amazon Studios.
