The Cars, an American Rock band formed in 1978, is best known for their hit singles Just What I Needed and Hello Again. The band’s first album was released in 1979 by Elektra Records. Along with their albums and songs, the Cars also enjoyed fame through their extensive touring. However, the Cars only had two album covers until they disbanded in 1988.
In 1984, the group released a more polished cover for “Heartbeat City” which featured a black background and white letters that spelled out “The Cars”. This cover was created by graphic artist Munk One has been hailed as one of his best works to date.
